Theatre of Shame
2014-15
The works shows constructed human figures, made from multiple self-portraits, placed into dreamlike, surreal landscapes. The subject for the series is prejudice and shame. It is easy and natural to unconsciously inherit the values and prejudices of the society one lives in. The artist has used is personal experiences as a homosexual as the starting point for the series.
Works from this series has been exhibited in London and Berlin and at the Royal Scottish Academy of Arts in Edinburgh, and published in Advocate (US), Männer (Germany) and Out&About (UK).
