"When I was ten I went to a Christmas Party at our local church. In the bag of candy each we got at the end, was also a small Holy Card. It had a picture of Jesus with his herd of lambs, and I thought it was exceedingly beautiful. The card ended up in my wallet, and there it rode through the years with me.

As the years went by however, the dog-eared card seemed to loose both its lustre and even more – its actuality. But one day some years ago I came to wonder: what would happen if I let the figure on the holy card loose from its rather kitschy surroundings of sunsets, tiny birds and pink flowers? Would something happen to the figure if the surroundings changed? What happened was The Sacred Pilgrim series."
